About Eric and Rachael
It took me leaving Canada to work at a mine in Mexico and Eric leaving the United States on Nanu and us meeting on the Mexican Pacific coast to make up the jolly crew on his Ericson 29. We spent the spring/summer of '08 sailing the Sea of Cortez. With final preparations being made on Nanu, our plan is a downwind sail from California to Ecuador and then whever the wind may take us...!

- Nanu's hull was laid in 1973. She weighs in at approximately 12,000lbs and draws 6ft of water with her keel. She'll be well-anchored this year with a new Manson Supreme anchor hanging off her bow and 285 feet of chain and a remote controlled anchor winch. Nanu's new tender is an 8' Fatty Knees sailing dinghy. Her old glass windows are in the process of being replaced with Lexan plastic...
